Discover the history of a family from the Upper Giffre valley by visiting an authentic farm that houses a collection built up by Pierre and Simone Déchavassine. The Clos Parchet Farm Folk Museum opened to the public in 1994

Take a step back in time by visiting this traditional farm which has been restored to its original 19th century condition. The Guides du Patrimoine Savoie Mont Blanc have brought together an impressive collection of period objects to illustrate everyday life in a farm in Samoens in the year 1815. See how the living room and kitchen would have looked at that time. Imagine the living conditions of a farming family of that period. Farm work in the surrounding fields and the trades of the past are also illustrated by a large collection of objects displayed in the barn.
The visit ends with a free tasting session.

Warm clothes and mountain shoes recommended. Booking at the Tourist Office.
